When booking an upcoming corporate event, I searched all over for a Chicago photojournalist to cover it for us.  Here’s where my rolodex came in handy.  I sifted through all my business cards and found quite a few clients who worked with professional photographers.  I made several calls and sent out many emails to get a good consensus on who to hire.  Everyone was great and most agreed on the same person and his skills.  My task was made easy by something as simple as a shout out.
