My former husband was in charge of the finances, because he felt he was much better at managing money.  In part, he was correct; he managed to spend all our money on himself.  After our inevitable divorce, I  began examining how to manage my own money, with the help of a financial advisor.  My former husband had inadequately covered us.  With the help of my advisor, research reading and on the web, I was able to choose which auto insurance companies would provide me with the best coverage at the best price.  Given the effort I put into the decision, it really was not such a difficult maze to solve
