The Smart Car

September 22nd, 2008 . by admin

Is running a car of water a smart car idea or a waste of money?  Let’s take a look a few of the pros and cons of this proposed money saving tool.  First, thing is that there is a lot of technical troubleshooting that needs to take place before these cars are released for public sale.  There are other issues to this new idea such as the fact that the hydrogen has to be extracted from the water and this process is very controversial because right now the only way to get this done is to use nuclear energy to complete.  Now, that defeats the purpose.  So the new smart car that runs on water is going to take a lot more time and studying before it becomes a reality.

Just learned about investing in a Classic Car

September 21st, 2008 . by admin

I have always loved the lines and colors of classic and vintage cars.  Now that I live in a 1920s home, I have often thought how cool it would be to have an old car parked out in front.  I was worried about the expense but I have a friend who told me all about classic car investment and she said her brother-in-law started out doing it as a hobby and ended up making a mint on them and even starting a whole business around fixing those beautiful old cars up again.  I think I will look into buying a fixer and go from there.

Caring For the Color Screen on Your Garmin GPS Navigation System

September 20th, 2008 . by admin

Similar to other types of LCD screens, you will need to take good care of the screen on your Garmin GPS navigation system.  Among other things, you will need to make sure liquids do not splash onto it.  In some cases, you may want to purchase clear covers that will adhere to the screen.  Aside from helping keep the surface of the GPS unit clean, you will never need to worry about scratches or discoloration. As the cover become soiled or difficult to see through, all you will need to do is peel it off and install a new one.  That said, you may also want to consider purchasing a unit that has built in waterproofing or other types of protection for the screen.

I got on line to get the best auto insurance quotes. In fact, much of my business & transactions these days are done over the internet.

I went through a company that was little known but they have a good rep & give me the most wonderful customer service, not to mention the best insurance rates I’ve found anywhere.

Just get on the web & do a little research & you’ll come up with the company you need for the rates & services that you want.

Then you will be able to enjoy those weekly cruises to the beach in your corvette!

Improving Your Auto Gas Mileage is a Snap

September 14th, 2008 . by admin

It is not as hard as you may believe to see some major improvements in your gas mileage while you drive around.  After all, some of the very best methods for improving auto gas mileage are also the simplest methods.  For instance, you can change air filters, inflate your tires properly, get regular oil changes and tune-ups, and drive a bit slower on the highway (generally 55 to 60 miles per hour is best).  Also, coast to red lights instead of continuing to accelerate, and do not let your car idle for more than thirty seconds at a time, which means foregoing the drive-thru or turning off the engine for quick trips inside the convenience store.

Gas Prices Are High Because We Burn It.

September 9th, 2008 . by admin

It’s a question being tossed around the water coolers of America much like the who shot JR conspiracy of the 1970s.

Not that other topics aren’t discussed, but the rising cost of gasoline in this country has many of us in a choke hold, which brings us back to our question: Why are gas prices so high?

Many can speculate on various answers, but to me, the answer is simple. It’s us.

Americans have a long-term love affair with their gasoline-burning, internal combustion engines.

We love our cars. We love driving wherever we want. And no matter how much the cost of gas rises, we’re still going to buy it.

And that’s the end of the question.

Used Car Supermarket

August 21st, 2008 . by admin

When it comes to buying a car you normally have two choices buy it privately or buy it from a dealer. Now there is a third option the used car supermarket, this aim to give you a sort of half way point between the two with good prices but still the guarantee you get from a dealer but does it work? Well in my experience sort of, you don’t get the same value as you did in private sale and you don’t get the same service as you would from a dealer you get a little of each and for some reason used car supermarkets seem to have really irritating people working there

Internet Connection

August 19th, 2008 . by admin

Our business is constantly moving, literally. We own a mid-size trucking company and our trucks are all over the country at all times of the day. It took us awhile to finally get accustomed to the GPS tracking services but it has proved invaluable to our drivers and our customers. We have access all the time and from anywhere. We decided to go with Nextel GPS tracking because they offered an internet connection so that we do not have to be in our home office to track a shipment. We can still have the weekends off but track the drivers who are working.

What Is PDR Exactly?

August 15th, 2008 . by admin

First of all, what is pdr?  Paintless dent removal is a method of removing small dents and dings from the painted sheet metal panels of a vehicle using a specialized set of tools and techniques to carefully "massage" out the damage without affecting the paint.  PDR techniques are typically limited to repairs in which there has been no damage to the paint since there will be no changes by way of paint touch ups or repainting of tha damaged area.
