Teen anorexia is a tragic mental illness experienced by many women entering into puberty. In an attempt of attaining a perceived image of perfection, these young women engage in diet and exercise habits which adversely affect their health and put them in risk of serious injury or death.
As parents, it is necessary that we take notice of our children’s eating and exercise habits. If you notice you child taking extreme stances on dieting, exercising, and gaining even the slightest amount of weight, there may be cause for concern and further inquiry.
