My uncle is a farmer, and owns a few guns.  He mainly uses them to scare off foxes and coyotes that get into the chicken coop from time to time.  My aunt absolutely abhors guns, and when my little cousin was born, she insisted that they be kept out of sight.  So, my uncle bought a couple of home safes.  He keeps one in the basement and another one out in the barn.  Now that my little cousin is a toddler and is getting into mischief left, right, and center, it’s reassuring to know that he won’t accidentally come across the guns.
