What’s in a crib set?
August 31st, 2008 . by adminWhen you shop for nursery items like baby bedding for the first time, you might be confused by what’s included in a crib set. Here are the parts you’ll typically see:
Comforter–this is a crib-sized blanket. You shouldn’t use blankets for a newborn because of the risk of SIDS, but you’ll want this when you switch to a toddler bed.
Bumper–this item goes around the edges of the crib. Choose one that is thin and light for safety’s sake.
Skirt–most crib sets come with a bedskirt. Look for one that has hook-and-loop ties to keep it in place when you change sheets.
The sheets are generally sold separately, but are designed to match the crib set.
