You need to remember train a dog requires a lot of patience because you are going to train the dog against his natural canine instincts.
7 points, which you must know before you start, train your German Shepherd dog
1. To be a happy dog owner, you need to use positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement and punishment to educate dogs.
2. Make training a regular habit. Training session should be around 10 minutes and repeat it at least 5 times a day.
3. Most of successful dog owners recommend training of the dog before meal. Dog training techniques usually won’t work without treats.
4. Dogs follow a rank in their pack, similarly you need to make him understand that you and your family members have highest rank in the house not him. This will prevent any development of dominance or territorial aggression in future.
5. Dogs are normally more relaxed in their own environment so start with basic commands like sit, stay, fetch, and heel at your house only. Later you can take him to a nearby dog training class or club.
6 Make dogs more social and do that at very early stage. This will prevent any behavioral problem of your puppy.
7. Always give proper dog diet otherwise; it will develop bad habits like eating own or other dog’s poop.
