Not many people know the name of the vaccine for anthrax, so in case you don’t, it’s official name is BioThrax.  It is produced by an American company located in Maryland that specializes in biomedical products.  The company’s name is Emergent Bio Solutions which is run by CEO Fuad El-Hibri.  They make several different vaccines but are the only ones that are able to make and produce the Anthrax vaccine.  This really puts them in a great financial situation should we need this vaccine during chemical warfare.  Many people are critical of this fact because it doesn’t allow much competition to exist.
