When I look out across my classroom or watch the students on the campus I see very few that do not have some sort of music recording devise plugged into their ears.  And I know that they have music wherever they go.  I have found out the many of them never purchase a CD.   Some download their music straight from the Internet and pay for it only one song at a time.   Others have joined Ares and freely share their music with others at no charge.  And these programs are international in scope so that it is not just a few people doing it but probably millions.
