I cannot cut my own hair. I can cut my bangs but the rest would have to wait for a hair stylist.  I am scared to cut the hair of my daughter too. I always bring her to a salon to have her hair cut.  There was a time when I cut it and it was not nice. Plus my daughter hated it as she cried when I cut it. 

Anyways, my aunt tells me that I should learn how to Cut Your Own Hair as she is the one cuts the hair of her sons when they were little. I doubt my daughter will let me and my scissors near her hair again
