Mormon Doctrine teaches that there are many commandments which God gives His children, but that they are all for His children’s well-being and ultimate happiness. Anyone who has led a life of sin can testify that they were not happy in their sins. This is because the Mormon Doctrine taught in the Book of Mormon that “wickedness never was happiness” is true. Commandments are given to us to show us the way that we can have the most happiness and the most joy in our lives. By following the commandments to be honest, virtuous, charitable, and kind, we can bring joy to ourselves and others.
