Dominique Dawes started in gymnastics at the age of 6. At the 1996 Olympic Games, Dominique and the US Gymnastics won the Gold Medal. Since then, she has appeared on the Broadway hit musical, Grease and also recently appeared on the Disney television show, The Jersey. Dominique Dawes has received the Balancing It All award as well as the Henry P. Iba Citizen Athlete Award, presented annually to two outstanding athletes who have demonstrated good citizenship. Currently Dominique Dawes can be found on the motivational speaker circuit.
