Rome on a Shoe String Budget

It might sound crazy to try to go now because the dollar is so weak, but I just can’t live my life that way. Seriously, I don’t want to be foolish about the money I spend, so my two main concerns are finding cheap airfare and the best hotel rates in Rome. I can do the usual internet searches on my own, but I’m interested in some inside information. Travel industry insiders please help me get to Rome.
