If there is one name that can be mentioned when you talk about mobility scooters then that name belongs to Amigo. The Amigo line was started by Al Thieme in 1968 as a way to produce a product that can help a family member who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. And with that a friendly wheelchair was developed and as they say, the rest is history. From that point Amigo was born and the Amigo mobility scooters are known for their reputation and reliability and this line has spawned the so-called scooter industry.  The Amigo mobility scooters are designed and made differently and this is the reason why its makers call these medical aids as the power operated vehicles.
